England U18 NAGs - Hockey Manager Mode
A catch-up with Thomas Elliott, Head of Performance Analysis for England NAGs hockey teams.
England U18 NAGs & Tagger - Hockey Manager Mode
Over the past several months, England U18 NAGs have been using Tagger, specifically the Hockey Manager Mode feature, leading into the recent European U18 competitions. We spoke with Thomas Elliott, who leads Performance Analysis for England NAGs, to hear his perspective on using Tagger.
"Tagger Hockey Manager Mode played a vital role for us at this year's European U18 Championships in Krefeld. Throughout the competition, it enabled us to manage player minutes and rotations effectively while also generating an XML immediately post-match that integrated with our existing analysis workflows."
"In-game, Tagger Hockey Manager Mode allowed us to accurately track player minutes on and off the pitch, and helped us manage cards and stoppages in play. It also highlighted when we did not have players on the field to fulfill specific roles related to PCA and PCD, a powerful feature not normally found in other applications."
"The customisable nature of Tagger's Hockey Manager Mode allowed us to configure the pitch, players, and manager window exactly as required. The Hudl Sportscode-compatible XML saved valuable post-match time when creating clips and tracking player on-pitch instances. Throughout and after the tournament, feedback and feature suggestions were quickly actioned by Peter and integrated into the app."
Peter from TeamOppy Sports commented: "It has been a pleasure working with Tom and his colleagues in the England NAGs setup. We look forward to continuing this collaboration as we develop more cutting-edge features."
