Creating a Livestream session
Connect to network
Before opening the Livestream app it is recommended to connect to the local network router. Livestream will then pick up an IP address from the router. Also connect your video device to your laptop.
Start Session
Open the Livestream app, then select an Output Folder. You should create a new Output Folder for each new game. There will be 3 folders created within this folder, data, hls and mp4.
- The data folder will contain a messages file which stores all the data that is synched across the connected Tagger devices. This is useful for debugging purposes post-game.
- The hls folder will contain the HLS video file and segments.
- The mp4 folder is a placeholder folder. If you want to convert the HLS to MP4 post-game then you can store the output in this folder.
Then click on the Start Session button.
The Livestream data sync is now active. Any Tagger devices that connect to the Livestream will now have their data synced.
Add a video source
- Now that the Livestream session is open you can add a video source. Click the Plus button to add a video source.
- You can choose from a Connected Device or an RTSP Stream.
- Give it a name (or just leave the default name).
- If you have chosen Connected Device then select a device from the list of connected devices.
- If you have chosen RTSP then enter the rtsp link.
The video will start playing after a few seconds.
You can now start connecting your Tagger devices.
